ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – The Institute for Labor Studies forwards the Philippine Just Transition positions as countries convene the 4th Dialogue under the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Just Transition Work Programme (JTWP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) from 01-06 September 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), in partnership with the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) – Socioeconomic Research Portal of the Philippines (SERP-P) and Mapúa University, will hold this year’s Trabahong Trending, an annual ILS research colloquium for students and members of the academe, in support of the 2025 Development Policy Research Month (DPRM).

QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) underscored the importance of inclusive employment for persons with disabilities (PWDs) as it took part in the Workability Asia (WAsia) Conference 2025 with the theme, “Inclusion at Work: Transforming Perspectives, Creating Opportunities”, held from 22 to 24 September at Novotel Manila Araneta City, Quezon City.

Makati City - The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) joins the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) at the Gender & Diversity Summit held on 19 September 2025, at the Makati Diamond Residences.

QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) convened a Stakeholders’ Roundtable Discussion and Validation Forum with representatives from the key government agencies, as well as the movie and television, theater, and broadcast industries, for its ongoing research project titled, “Exploring Social Dialogue Mechanisms in Upholding Decent Working Conditions of Freelance and Contract Workers in the Creative Industry.” The event was held on 15 September 2025 at the Large Training Room 2A, Occupational Safety and Health Center, Quezon City.
