Senior Labor and Employment Officer John Emmanuel B. Villanueva and Labor and Employment Officer III Marc Raphael A. Peñaredondo, both from the Employment Research Division of the Institute, teamed up to present the 2018 ILS study titled, “Labor and employment governance in a Federal Philippines: A Policy Delphi-Survey Study.”
Manila – Institute for Labor Studies Deputy Executive Director Patrick P. Patriwirawan, Jr. joined a host of panel discussants from the ASEAN region in a workshop titled, “Learning and Future of Work” last September 19 at the World Bank Knowledge and Research Hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Institute for Labor Studies Management, led by Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba, with the Human Resource Unit, has started its series of consultations with Civil Service Commission Director May Antonette D. Arriola to craft action plans for the Level II accreditation of the Institute under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).
The Institute for Labor Studies’ ongoing 2019 researches on the construction industry were mentioned by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) OIC for Project Development Division Charlyn B. Justimbaste in her presentation titled “Preparing TVET for the 4th Industrial Revolution Challenge” at the 9th National Education Forum held in Hotel Jen in Pasay City last August 29.
The Institute for Labor Studies’ ongoing 2019 research titled “A Study on the Industry Practices, Business Landscape and Strategies in Coping with Current Trends of the IT-BPM Sector in the Philippines” was included in the monthly list of Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) studies for the month of July at the official web site (www.ibpap.org) of the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippine (IBPAP)
