To further promote policy researches on labor and employment, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) of the Department of Labor and Employment joined the panel of exhibitors for the Fifth Annual Public Policy Conference (APPC) organized by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) last September 19, 2019 at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
September 12, 2019 --- ILS Acting Deputy Executive Director III Patrick P. Patriwirawan, Jr. emphasized decent work and humanity on the discussion of the Future of Work during the 4th Regional Career Advocacy Congress (RCAC) at the Grand Convention Center, Cebu City.
Manila – Institute for Labor Studies Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba was invited by DOLE Region XI to attend the 5th Regional Career Advocacy Congress (RCAC) last September 20, in NCCC Mall, Buhangin, Davao City.
The event which was spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment Region XI Office, carried the theme, “PH 4.0 Preparing the Digital Ready Workforce.” The said congress aimed to provide a venue for members of the Network Guidance of Counselors and various stakeholders in gathering and sharing insights on how to mold the minds of the youth and support them towards a successful entry towards the realm of work.
The Institute for Labor Studies Acting Deputy Executive Director Patrick Patriwirawan, Jr. is among the 35 candidates conferred with Career Executive Service eligibility through Career Executive Service Board (CESB) Resolution Number 1494 dated 09 September 2019.
Manila –The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) employees Joyce Anne S. Lumactud and Franchesca Rose S. Castillo took their oaths of office last September 3 as Supervising Labor and Employment Officer,and Labor and Employment Officer III respectively and will be assigned at the Labor and Social Relations Research Division (LSRRD).
The announcement was made official last September 3 in a Notice of Appointment which was released last September 2 by the ILS Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRM-PSB). Ms. Lumactud and Ms. Castillo jointly took their oath of office before ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba.
