MAKATI CITY – Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) Senior Labor and Employment Officer Ms. Chelsea Pineda presented the key findings of the ILS research paper titled "Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the Labor Market" on 15 April 2025 during the launch of NaviGate, an AI-powered chatbot developed by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) with support from the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO).

BICOL REGION — As part of its 2025 Research Agenda, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) conducted a series of data gathering activities in Bicol Region from 07 to 11 April 2025, for its ongoing study titled, "The Role of Job Placement Offices (JPOs) as Strategic Partners in Public Employment Services and Industry-Driven Employment."

PASAY CITY — The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) conducted a key informant interview with representatives from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Foreign National Unit on 14 April 2025 in Pasay City, as part of its ongoing research titled “Technology and Skills Transfer through the Understudy Training Program (UTP) and Skills Development Program: Good Practices and Lessons Learned.”

DAVAO CITY / CEBU CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) concluded its fieldwork activities in Davao and Central Visayas regions as part of its ongoing research projects, “Gender and Development (GAD) in Labor Organizations: Strategies and Prospects” and “Workers' Perspectives on Company Practices in Labor Standards Compliance and Labor-Management Relations.” from 01 to 11 April 2025.

QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, conducted a learning session on Civil Service Commission (CSC) Resolution No. 2100064 - amending key provisions of the 2017 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service (RACCS)—in line with Republic Act No. 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act.
