Quezon City - The Institute for Labor Studies participated in public seminars hosted by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) focusing on climate change, disaster risk management, and women in the agriculture sector on August 1 and 14, 2024, via hybrid modality.

Vientiane, Lao PDR - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), along with the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), represented the ASEAN Labour Ministers Meeting (ALMM) in the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council High-Level Interface held on 13 August 2024 in Vientiane, Lao PDR. The Philippine representation is incidental to its current chairpersonship of the ALMM.

Taguig City - Mr. Bernard Paul M. Mangulabnan of the DOLE Institute for Labor Studies presented and addressed inquiries on the Updated National Green Jobs Human Resource Development (NGJHRD) Plan 2020-2030, as part of the Capability Building Workshop for Regional Green TVET focals, being held at the Green Technology Center, TESDA Complex, Taguig City.

Manila - The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), in collaboration with the Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC), successfully organized the forum on “Mental Health at Work: Exploring Compensability of Work-related Mental Health Conditions.” on 12 August 2024, at The Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila.

Manila - The Philippine government is gearing up to create three million jobs by 2028 as it laid out the comprehensive agenda for the 10-Year Trabaho Para sa Bayan (TPB) Master Plan during the National Employment Summit (NES) last June 26 to 27, 2024 at the Manila Hotel.
