QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) held a learning session on the 2025 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (ORAOHRA) on 25 February 2026 at the ILS Conference Room in Quezon City.

MANILA – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in the 2026 National Tripartite Conference themed “Advancing Decent Work Toward Shared Responsibility and Prosperity in the Changing World,” organized by the Bureau of Labor Relations- Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on 28 to 30 January 2026, at the Manila Prince Hotel, Ermita, Manila.

BOHOL – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in the Sharing of Perspectives to Advance Regional Knowledge on the Energy Transition in Southeast Asia (SPARK) Regional Dialogue on Coal PhaseDown Financing, organized by the Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) in collaboration with the Department of Energy of the Republic of the Philippines, on 19–20 January 2026 at the Henann Tawala Resort in Bohol.

MANILA – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently convened a Technical Working Group (TWG) meeting to review Department Order No. 149, otherwise known as the Guidelines in Assessing and Determining Hazardous Work in the Employment of Persons Below 18 Years of Age, on 23 January 2025 at the DOLE Central Office in Intramuros, Manila.

QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), the research and advocacy arm of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), actively participated in the Department’s Annual Planning Exercises as part of its preparations for the formulation and implementation of the Institute’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Research Agenda.
