Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) honored its 44-year old service retiree with an online tribute and send-off via Zoom on August 27.
Mr. Rolando C. Abadilla, who served most recently as Administrative Assistant II under the Office of the Executive Director, has reached his compulsory retirement this August 31. He previously worked as a casual janitor in 1976 for the Institute of Labor and Manpower Studies (ILMS), from which ILS traced its roots prior to its creation in July 25, 1987 through Executive Order No. 251 issued by then President Corazon C. Aquino.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies conducted the 3rd installment of its webinar series titled, “Mandanas Ruling: Devolution, Opportunities and the Path to PESO Institutionalization” on August 31 from 9:30 AM-12:00 NN via livestreaming through the ILS Facebook page.
The Institute put together a panel of distinguished speakers: Dr. Romulo Emmanuel M. Miral, Jr., Deputy Secretary General of the Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department, Atty. Mary Grace R. Chua, CPA, City Budget Officer of Manila, and Director Fernan B. Bermejo, Head of the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) of the City of Manila.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), through the efforts of the ILS Employees Association (ILSEA) and Finance and Administrative Division (FAD), successfully concluded the 2nd year of its onsite flu and pneumonia inoculation program for all its employees last August 23 at the ILS offices in Intramuros, Manila.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba presided over the oathtaking of new employees in a two-part virtual ceremony held last July 1 and July 12 via Zoom. The ceremony was witnessed by all ILS employees.
