Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) joins the Department of Labor and Employment family as one of the key members of the Technical Working Group created through Administrative Order No. 264, s. 2022 in preparation for the Philippine hosting of the 27th ASEAN Labor Ministers’ Meeting (ALMM) and Related Meetings in Manila from October 25 to 29.
The TWG is chaired by Undersecretary Benedicto Ernesto R. Bitonio, Jr., of Labor Relations, Policy and International Affairs Cluster. Attending the meeting are Labour Ministers from the ASEAN member states. The ASEAN labor officials will also hold meetings with ASEAN Plus Three dialogue partners China, Japan and South Korea.
OIC-Executive Director Jeanetter T. Damo, together with the ILS officers Deputy Executive Director Mary Grace L. Riguer Teodisio, Bernard Paul M. Mangulabnan of the Advocacy and Publications Division, Joanne Camille P. Bejarin of the Labor Relations Research Division, and France Camille G. Dumalaog, and Malorie Joy Mones of the Employment Research Division serve as rapportuers in the five-day event.
Other members of the said TWG include various offices of the Department of Labor and Employment.
