Work done by the Department of Labor and Employment on child labor management has reached Bhutan, the world’s happiest country, and now they want to know more about it.
The Ministry of Labor and Human Resources of the Royal Kingdom of Bhutan paid a courtesy call to the Institute for Labor Studies, the policy research and advocacy arm of the Department of Labor and Employment, to gain insights on child labor management.
Employees of the Department of Labor and Employment had a fun and rewarding discussion and a make-over session during its Seminar on Job Enrichment through the Power of Appearance, organized by the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) in cooperation with personality development firm, John Robert Powers.
The seminar, which is part of the Gender for Development Program of the ILS, gave job enrichment tips for both men and women to develop a more positive attitude at work and to reach their full potential in their careers.
“Our advocacy on green jobs does not end on research and policy papers; we need to put this in action to make a positive dent on environment protection.”
This was the statement of Executive Director Cynthia R. Cruz before the employees of Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) got down and dirty to plant 2,000 mangrove shoots at Kalawangan River, Iba, Zambales.
Be rice-ponsible!
This was the pledge of the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) during the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) flag-raising ceremony, in support to the National Year of Rice.
The National Year of Rice is part of the Philippine government’s campaign to achieve rice self-sufficiency beginning 2013 through the promotion of responsible rice consumption and productive rice farming.
