Manila – The results of the Institute of Labor Studies (ILS) paper on the Gap Analysis of Key International Labor Organization (ILO) Occupational Safety and Health Conventions OSH was validated through a National Sectoral Analysis that was conducted last October 6 at the Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila.

The Institute for Labor Studies successfully held the first of its Luna Lecture Series with guest speaker Dr. Anil Verma of University of Toronto last Oct. 20, 2017 at U.P. School of Labor and Industrial Relations (SOLAIR), Diliman, Quezon City.
Dr. Verma, professor at the Rotman School of Management and at the Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources, both of University of Toronto, discussed the topic “Smart labor policy reforms—lessons and emerging trends.”
Manila – Institute for Labor Studies OIC-Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba was one of the resource speakers during the 12th Executive Labor Updates session held last October 5 at the ECOP Boardroom, Employees Compensation Commission Bldg. in Makati City.
The event sponsored by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines focused on the topic, “Compressed Work Week and Other Alternative Working Arrangements: Productive or Disruptive?”
The ILS Design Thinking Olympics is now in full swing and has engaged six regional offices of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The six participating DOLE regional offices are the National Capital Region, and Regions III, IV-A, VI, VII, and XI.
