Manila – Researchers from the Institute for Labor Studies recently underwent a three-day training on Survey CTO last 22-26 May at the iLearn Conference Room, Intramuros, Manila.

The activity was made possible through the combined efforts of the institute’s Technical Division Chiefs namely: Maria Isabel D. Artajo of the Employment Research Division, Patrick Patriwirawan, Jr. of the Labor and Social Relations Research Division and Miraluna Tacadao of the Workers Welfare Research Division.

Consistent with the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) commitment to excellence, the ILS has sent two of its senior level employees to the Supervisory Development Course Track 1 of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) held last 18-21 April 2017 at the CSC-NCR Training Room, in Kaliraya Street, Quezon City.

The Institute for Labor Studies, through its representative Malorie Joy O. Mones of the Workers Welfare Research Division, participated in the 2nd Consultative Workshop: A Bill Seeking to Address Root Causes of Informality” and “Consultation Workshop Towards Development of Typology of Transitioning Informal Economic Units, Its Workers, and Informal Economy Workers in Formal Workplaces” held on 10 April 2017 in Hotel Jen Manila, Pasay City and on 19 April 2017 in Occupational Safety and Health Center, Quezon City.

Manila, PH – Assistant Secretary for Policy and Chairperson for the DOLE Inter-Agency Committee for Research and Statistical Matters (IAC-RSM) Alex V. Avila attended the presentation by the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) on its proposed roll-out and launch of the E-regulations website April 10 at the iLearn Conference Room, Manila.

Manila, PH – Researchers from the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) are currently in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, together with representatives from the National Reintegration Center for Overseas Filipino Workers (NRCO) to conduct Phase 2 of the research titled, “A Typology of OFWs Returning Home: A Survey Study on the Return and Reintegration of OFWs.”
