Manila, Philippines - The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) hosted the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) flag raising ceremony highlighting National Bible Day observance last January 28, 2019 at the Local Governance Learning Center (LGLC) at the Blas Ople Hall in Intramuros, Manila.

The Institute for Labor Studies' Gender and Development (GAD) Committee organized the forum titled "Age Doesn't Matter: A Learning Session on Employment Outcomes of Elderly in the Philippines" on 13 December 2018 at the ILearn Conference Room, ILS, 5/F DOLE Building, Intramuros, Manila.

Acting Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba welcomed the participants and expressed her support for the active participation of the country’s elderly in productive employment even in their old age.

The Institute for Labor Studies' Gender and Development (GAD) Committee organized the seminar-workshop "Beyond 5%: Seminar-Workshop on Mobilizing Resources for Gender and Development Initiatives" on 13 December 2018 at the ILearn Conference Room, ILS, 5/F DOLE Building, Intramuros, Manila.

The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) conducted an inception forum for the ILS research project: “Study on Industry Practices, Business Landscapes and Strategies in Coping with Current Trends in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Sector held at the Marigold Room at The Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila last December 12.

The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) conducted an outreach program for the special education pupils of P. Gomez Elementary School in Sta. Cruz, Manila on 10 December 2018.

The activity is part of the annually implemented Moral Renewal Program of ILS as directed under the Administrative Order issued by the Office of the President. As defined in the AO, moral renewal refers to values formation and ethical behavior for government officers and employees, as well as the strengthening of people’s values to achieve zero tolerance for corruption.
