Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) management, headed by Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba, conducted its Management Review for the second quarter of the year held at its new office address at the 6th Floor of the BF Condominium in Intramuros, Manila.
The agenda discussed covered the following: 1.) Issues decided in the previous management review; 2.) Changes in external and internal issues relevant to Quality Management System (QMS); 3.) Results of internal and external audits conducted by Internal Audit Team; 4.) Client Feedback; 5.) QMS Performance; 6.) Adequacy of Resources; 7.) Effectiveness of actions taken to address risks and opportunities; and 8.) Opportunities for improvement.
Prior to the Management Review, the office’s Internal Quality Audit Team, headed by Mr. Nollie Jay A. Rafer, has already conducted its internal audit to verify if the quality management system has been established within the Institute and is being implemented in accordance with the requirements of the standard and audit criteria. Among the enrolled processes audited by the team were the following: Management Processes; Resource Provision Processes; and Measurement, Analysis, and Improvement Processes. The Internal Audit was conducted in preparation to the external audit to which the Institute will be subjected to in relation to its ISO 9001:2015 certification.
The ILS was formally awarded its ISO 9001:2015 certification by representatives of the AJA Registrars Inc. on 25th July 2018 at Bayleaf Hotel, Intramuros, Manila.
The Management Review concluded with a commitment from the Management in implementing its action plans to address the identified opportunities for improvement.
