The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) joined the Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) in the conduct of the Regional Tripartite Validation of the Gap Analysis relative to the International Labour Organization (ILO) Work in Fishing Convention 2007, No. 188 (C188) in the cities of Zamboanga and General Santos, in two regions with established Industry Tripartite Councils (ITC), on May 28 and 30, 2024.

Manila - The Institute for Labor Studies concluded its first Quality Management Systems (QMS) Internal Audit with a closing meeting attended by the management, employees, and process owners led by the newly reconstituted IQA Team on June 14.

Candelaria, Zambales - The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), led by its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, celebrated Pride Month with a Gender Fair Language and Research Toolkit Workshop and Team Cohesion Program held on 19-21 June 2024, in Candelaria, Zambales.

Manila - The Institute for Labor Studies remains among the attached agencies of the Department of Labor and Employment, which received a 100% Transparency Seal compliance status in the Q1 2024. As part of the ongoing enhancement and enforcement of accountability and delivery of quality services, all government agencies are required to comply with Transparency Seal per DOLE AO 357 Series of 2023 and GAA Fund Compliance 2024.

Quezon City - The Institute for Labor Studies, together with the Bureau of Local Employment, Planning Service, and regional offices of the Department of Labor and Employment, has successfully concluded the Regional Pre-Employment Summit Consultations during its final leg in Luzon Cluster held on 13 to 14 June 2024, at the Park Inn by Radisson North ESDA, Quezon City.
