The workshop is a continuation of a project, which started in 2010 as an effort to form the basis for the formulation of employment creation targets as reflected in the Philippine Labor and Employment Plan (LEP) 2011-2016.

On June 22-23, 2015, technical staff of the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) and other offices and attached agencies of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) participated in a training on statistical analysis using Stata. The training is in preparation for the updating of the Philippine Employment Projections Model (PEPM), in partnership with the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
