Employees of the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) joined the “Freedom Run,” a 3K/10K fun run that was also a call to “freedom from corruption,” held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, Pasay City last September 27, 2015.

The ILS delegation was headed by Camilo Franco Cabusas of the Finance and Administrative Division, and Patrick Patriwirawan, OIC-Chief of the Labor and Social Relations Research Division.

The Institute for Labor Studies recently concluded its workshop series validating the results of the survey on the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention No. 188.

 

The workshops were held in National Capital Region for Luzon, Iloilo City for Visayas, and General Santos City for Mindanao. .

Three research colleagues of the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in a summer school course on labor market analysis in Turin, Italy, on August 3-7, 2015, with other public policy and academic professionals from different countries.

The draft department order seeking to strengthen the government’s employment insurance program is reviewed anew during the DOLE Tripartite Executive Committee (TEC) meeting held at the Occupational Safety and Health Center on Aug. 14, 2015.

DOLE recently drafted the Department Order titled “Guidelines in the Facilitation of Active Labor Market Programs in Case of Job Displacement and Other Industrial Peace Concerns.”
