In line with the Government-Wide Medium Term Information and Communications Technology Harmonization Initative (MITHI), the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) is in the process of finalizing its Information System Strategic Plan (ISSP) for 2015-2017.

THE INSTITUTE FOR Labor Studies, along with other offices and bureaus of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), participated in the three-day Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) Seminar Workshop conducted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from March 12 to 14, 2014 at the Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City.

WITH THE THEME, “Juana ang Tatag mo ay Tatag natin sa pagbangon at pagsulong,” the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), together with all the offices, bureaus and attached agencies of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), participated in the celebration of Women’s Month 2014, organized by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) last March 8, 2014 at the Quirino Grandstand, Luneta Park, Manila.

In celebration of Women’s Month 2014, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) held two technical learning sessions on gender-oriented policy researches and gender-sensitive governance last March 20, 2014 at the Migration Information Resource Center (MIRC), DOLE Building, Intramuros, Manila.

The technical learning sessions discussed on the women’s issues and concerns that could be mainstreamed in the labor and employment policymaking processes and integrated into the DOLE’s Gender and Development (GAD) programs.

The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) started sending its technical staff and personnel last January 6, 2013 to help and assist in the implementation of the emergency employment and livelihood programs of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan in Region VIII, particularly in the provinces of Leyte and Samar.
