Institute for Labor Studies Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba joins officials of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for a site visit of the ongoing pilot implementation of the Graduation Approach Project in Talisay, Negros Occidental.

The DOLE officials was headed by Assistant Secretary Alex V. Avila, together with Director Adeline T. De Castro of the Planning Service, Director Warren Miclat of the Finance and Management Service, along with ILS Acting Division Chief Maria Isabel Artajo and Bureau of Workers with Special Concenrs representatives Ms. Maria Lourdes Gonzales and Zydney Lanz Cresino.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies’ Gender and Development (GAD) Committee lined up month-long activities for all its employees in celebration of the International Women’s Month which officially started last March 8.

Results of the ILS research study titled, "Bringing Sustainable Livelihood Framework to Life: A Study on the Possible Determinants of Sustainability of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program" was presented by Ms. Franchesca Rose Castillo of the Insitute's Workers Welfare Research Divison (WWRD) during the Capacity Development Program for PESO Managers at Subic Bay Freeport Zone on 20 March 2019.

Manila – Researchers from the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) organized a presentation forum for the discussion of the results of research titled, “Impact Evaluation of Productive Assets and Training on Child Labor in the Philippines (KASAMA Program),” last March 14 at the iLearn Conference Room of the Institute for Labor Studies in Intramuros, Manila.

Manila – The Gender and Development Committee of the Institute for Labor Studies conducted the first of its major activities for Women’s Month which is a Gender Sensitivity Training titled, “When Listening is Not Enough: Gender Sensitivity and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace,” last March 19-20 at the iLearn Conference Room in Intramuros, Manila.
