Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) recently launched a survey on bicycle use as an alternative transportation mode during the COVID19 pandemic, following an online consultation meeting with researchers from the Labor and Social Relations Research Division (LSRRD) and cyclists/cycling enthusiasts from its employees last July 21 via the Zoom online platform.
Manila – Researchers from the Institute for Labor Studies conducted an online brownbag session to consolidate its efforts for the launch of a series of online advocacy webinars in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The remote session was concluded last July 7 via the Zoom meeting platform.
In attendance were Advocacy and Publication (APD) Chief Reinerio A. Alba, Workers Welfare Research Division (WWRD) Chief Maria Isabel D. Artajo, Employee Research Division (ERD) Acting Chief Paulina Kim C. Pacete, and Labor and Social Relations Research Division (LSRRD) Acting Chief Miraluna S. Tacadao.
Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies successfully completed the conduct an external audit for its ISO 9001:2015 surveillance 2 audit. The online audit was conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams last July 28 and was attended by all employees of the Institute.
The audit began with an opening meeting where the opening remarks was delivered by ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba. She also introduced external auditors from SOCOTEC Certification International, Ms. Czaharina Buaquena and Ms. Merce Flores who conducted the surveillance 2 audit.

The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) recently reconstituted its Project Team for the Public Campaign for “Safe and Fair Migration in the ASEAN Region,” with the issuance of Administrative Order No. 07-A Series of 2020 in line with the effectivity of Implementation Agreement No. 40281447 between the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
