ILS concludes 2022 Advocacy Webinar Series with a focus on senior citizen employment

As the last installment of the ILS Advocacy Webinar Series for 2022, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) successfully conducted the webinar, “No Shelf Life: Employment and Income Opportunities for Senior Citizens” last December 19, and as hosted by Ms. Lara Fameronag Labor and Employment Officer II, from the Advocacy and Publications Division.

The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) kickstarted 2022 with its annual DOLE Research Conference held via Zoom on 29-30 March 2022. The said DOLE Research Conference allowed the Institute’s researchers to provide an inclusive platform to discuss and present to its tripartite partners and stakeholders its 2021 papers governing relevant labor and employment policies and decent work concerns.

The Institute for Labor Studies held its turnover ceremony for incoming Officer-in-Charge Jeanette T. Damo held at the DOLE Command Center on November 09, 2022.

After two years of providing online INTERNi Internship/On-the-job training program at the onset of the pandemic, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) has now adopted a Hybrid INTERNi Program amid the lifting of some restrictions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the said program, trainees are to report physically to the Institute on a number of days of the work week and work from home on remaining days, over the entire duration of their practicum.
