Manila – Students that have been under the Department of Labor and Employment’s Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) have increased their likelihood of currently working by 3.9% compared to those not chosen to receive the said program.
This was among the key findings during the presentation of results of the Impact Evaluation for the SPES Program held last August 18 at the Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila hosted by the Institute for Labor Studies as the lead of the DOLE-Technical Working Group (DOLE-TWG).
On July 11-13, 2018, the Institute for Labor Studies participated in the training organized by the International Labour Organization titled (ILO) ”Transition from Informal to Formal Economy: Awareness Raising on R204 towards Designing an Integrated Policy Framework in the Philippines” at Hotel Jen, Roxas Boulevard, Metro Manila.

Manila, Philippines – In celebration of the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) 30th founding anniversary, the “Luna Lecture Series” and Design Thinking Olympics were formally launched last July 25 at the iLearn Conference Room, DOLE, Intramuros, Manila.
Designed as a forum event, the “Luna Lecture Series,” will be conducted in partnership with various universities and colleges around the country.
