This Factbook presents sets of data and statistical analyses on the results of the Labor Force Survey (LFS) of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). It also contains labor and employment administrative data culled from the databases of various Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) offices.

Sources. The main reference material for this Factbook is the LFS, the purpose of which is to capture data on the employment status of the working age population within four survey periods of the year, in January, April, July and October. Each survey period is called a round. The average of four rounds is taken as the annual data.

This Factbook contains LFS data for years 2013 to 2015, and presents annual data for the two latest years (2013 and 2014). Depending on the availability of data from PSA for the required regional, industrial, and demographic breakdown and analyses, this Factbook also covers data from the latest round of April or July of the LFS for the years 2014 and 2015.
