Manila - The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) welcomes Franz Brien C. Arceleta as its newest staff member. He took his oath of office as Administrative Officer II last January 15, 2024, before OIC-Executive Director III Jeanette T. Damo and Deputy Executive Director III Atty. Mary Grace L. Riguer-Teodosio, and witnessed by fellow ILS employees at the ILS Office, Intramuros, Manila.
Arceleta is a graduate of Colegio De San Juan de Letran, where he took up a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Technology. He trained under the ILS Government Internship Program (GIP) from May 26 to December 31, 2021, in the Advocacy and Publications Division under its Division Chief, Reinerio A. Alba. During his stay, he has participated in and contributed to some of the projects of the Institute, such as the following: Dugong Buhay: A Blood Letting Activity; Bring Your Tumbler to School Day: Reduce Waste Campaign; Quadri-Centennial Tree Planting Activity; and Waste Segregation: A Help to the Environment. He worked in the private sector as an Accounting Associate from May 11, 2023, until Jan 12, 2024, before finally deciding to return to ILS and heed the call to embark on public service.
