The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), through its Workers Welfare Division, is set to conduct a national sectoral consultation on its research, “Gap Analysis of Key OSH Conventions”. The consultation will be held on 03 October 2017, at The Bayleaf Hotel, Intramuros, Manila.
Supported by the International Labor Organization (ILO), the research is being undertaken by ILS in collaboration with the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) and Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC). The study is part of the global project of the ILO on occupational safety and health (OSH) called “Building a Generation of Safe and Healthy Workers- Safe Youth @ Work Project funded by the United States Department of Labor (USDOL). One of the key elements of the said project is the alignment of national laws and regulations with international OSH instruments, in support national efforts to ratify ILO OSH Conventions.
The consultation aims to draw comments, inputs and additional information from –other government agencieslabor and employers’ groups, youth, and civil society organizations.
