MANILA – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) has started preparations for the forthcoming 12th DOLE Research Conference to be held on November 28-29, 2023 (hybrid set-up) and on December 13-14, 2023 (full online).
With the theme “12th DOLE Research Conference: Gearing up for Inclusive, Innovative, and Sustainable Future of Work”, this year’s conference aims to underscore innovation and transformative trends in the labor sector brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
This year’s conference will also feature research studies and presentations from both local and international institutions. "This will be the first time that the Institute invited international and local research institutions to present their studies at the conference. This is to engage the audience with the multi-faceted labor and employment global landscape and stimulate substantive social dialogue,” Executive Director Jeanette T. Damo said.
Since 2011, the DOLE Research Conference has been a platform for DOLE researchers and other scholars to discuss key labor issues with policymakers, government program managers, and tripartite partners toward enabling evidence-based policy and decision-making processes to promote decent work in the country.
The full program and complete line-up of research presentations of the 12th DOLE Research Conference will be announced in the first week of November 2023.
