The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in the “Asenso Pilipinas 2020: Empowering Possibilities for the Modern Public Sector Landscape” organized by Microsoft Philippines last January 23, 2020 at Novotel Hotel in Quezon City.

Department of Education Undesecretary Alain Pascua delivered the keynote message on the digital transformation of the public sector summit, followed by Francis Del Val, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cobena, who discussed the power of democratizing technology through accessible apps and innovation. The two speakers also did a fireside chat with Microsoft expert and country General Manager Andres Ortola, to discuss pressing questions on information integration and security.

The event gathered 500 public sector officials and leaders for a full day of plenary and industry specific learning tracks focusing on the newest technological innovations. Attending on behalf of the Institute was Chief Labor and Employment Officer Reinerio A. Alba.
