On 04 June 2018, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) received a Certificate of Attestation from certifying body AJA Registrars for immediate recommendation to ISO 9001:2015 certification, three days after the said body’s audit assessment.
“This ISO 9001:2015 certification is just a starting point and reflects ILS’ culture of quality work ethics in delivering public service,” remarked by Acting Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba.
The thrust of ISO 9001:2015 is risk-based approach in managing office processes where risks are identified, considered and controlled throughout the steps/cycles. It recognizes that risks exist in all systems, processes and functions and they must be addressed in a holistic manner. This also makes preventive actions an inherent part of the office planning, operations, analysis, and evaluation process.
ILS subjected itself to the audit assessment confident in its processes, and its consistency in the delivery of quality ILS researches, technical inputs, advisories and advocacies toward improving customer services and satisfaction. ILS has previously been certified with ISO 9001:2008 in March 2016.
