Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies officially launched a new and improved look for its official website last December 20.

This digital facelift was made possible by the Institute’s Advocacy and Publications Division (APD) - IT Team led by Information Systems Analyst (ISA) III Renz J. Nucup, together with lead designer ISA II Marjoe Velasco and Computer Operator II Mike Velar C. Leonardo. Digital designs were made by ILS resident Graphic Designer and APD Labor and Employment Officer III Marc Raphael A. Peñaredondo, with assistance from LEO I Lara P. Fameronag, who is also responsible for the Institute’s monthly newsletter outing.

Guidance and content were supplied by APD Chief Reinerio A. Alba, Advocacy Unit Head Atty. Tecelyn B. Maramag and Publications Unit Head Bernard Paul M. Mangulabnan.

The website boasts of more accessible quick links, news highlights for the Instute’s press releases, latest events and featured videos, eNewsletters and infographics, and allows easy access to downloadable knowledge products.

The updating of the web site is in line with Section 94 of Republic Act No. 11465 (General Appropriations Act FY 2020) and the approved Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP) of ILS for Fiscal Year 2021.

The APD is set to release a manual for the Guidelines on Content Management to provide an implementation framework in monitoring and management of content items. A Technical Learning Session will also be conducted for the designated Content Managers on the first quarter of 2022, to familiarize with the features of the new website.
