Quezon City – The International Labour Organization, in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment – Occupational Safety and Health Center, conducted a public launch of “Safety and Health at Sea” board game on OSH for fishing and seafood sectors on November 21, at Luxent Hotel, Quezon City.
The Institute was represented by Miraluna S. Tacadao, Chief of the Workers Welfare Research Division and Michelle Ann A. Ruiz of the Advocacy and Publication Division.
The game advocates for safety and health at sea among workers in commercial fishing vessels, seafood processing workers, as well as maritime professionals, educators and individuals interested in exploring the fishing industry.
Attendees of the event were government agencies, and stakeholders from the academe, employers’ and workers’ groups. The program formed part of the ILO’s project, Ship to Shore Rights Southeast Asia.
