Manila - The Institute for Labor Studies is hailed anew by the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines, Inc. (AGAP) as one of the “Outstanding Accounting Offices” in the country for the fiscal year 2023.

In the official communication received by the Institute in August 2024, AGAP has commended the ILS for the “quality, timeliness, and accuracy of FY 2023 financial reports” submitted.

The awarding rites will be held during the opening ceremonies of the AGAP convention and seminar on October 9 to 12, 2024, at the IEC Convention Center Cebu, Cebu City. Ivy A. Castronuevo-Luna, Accountant III, and Angelica Viel C. Dao, Accountant II, of the Accounting Office will receive the recognition for the Institute.

This is the fourth time that the Institute will be receiving the award, first in 2014, and again in 2015 and 2021.  The award is annually given to government agencies, through the recommendation of the Commission on Audit (COA). Founded in 1953, AGAP is an association that promotes the interests of government accountants and the efficient practice of government accountancy.
