The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in the Employers’ Sectoral Consultation organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in cooperation with International Labour Organization (ILO) and Employers’ Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), on 27 May 2016 at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.
The consultation was a response to the adoption by the labor sector of the National Labor Sector Agenda during the National Labor Forum on Securing Decent Jobs for the Future held in April 2016.
The consultation served as venue for employers and various business organizations to express their views on issues relating to labor-management and the conduct of business. The output of the consultation will be incorporated in the Philippine Labor and Employment Plan (LEP) 2016-2022, created in conjunction with the 2030 UNDP Agenda for Sustainable Development and the ILO Future of Work Initiatives.
