Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) celebrated its Christmas party last December 20 at its new conference facility, iLearn, located at the 5th floor of the DOLE Extension Office in Intramuros, Manila.
DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III, together with Undersecretaries Joel Maglungsod, Dominador Say and Assistant Secretary Alex V. Avila joined ILS employees during their Christmas lunch to congratulate them for all their accomplishments and contributions to the Department for this year.
ILS Holiday festivities started with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Geoffrey Iborda from the San Agustin Church followed by the blessing of iLearn, which will be fully operational by January 2017.
This year’s theme of “A Fairytale Christmas,” had all ILS employees dressed up in their fairy tale best as they paraded their way to iLearn. ILS OIC – Executive Director Mary Grace L. Riguer opened the program proper by expressing her gratitude to the ILS family, especially to then OIC – Executive Director Labor Attaché Ma. Celeste M. Valderrama and OIC – Deputy Executive Director Brenalyn A. Peji, whose leadership of the Institute is instrumental for the 2016 accomplishments of the ILS.
