Institute for Labor Studies Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba was one of the recipients of the Outstanding Alumnus Award of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) during the 56th NDCP Foundation Anniversary and Alumni Homecoming held at the AFP Commissioned Officers Clubhouse Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City last August 16.
The award is given to alumni whose outstanding performances in their own institutions and fields of profession have earned them the appointment, promotion, and/or election to high positions of responsibility either in government, academic, community, major industries, civic organizations, or other national associations.
Director Satumba earned her Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Program, which is the main academic program of the NDCP in 2009. She has been the Acting Executive Director III of the Institute since September 2017, prior to becoming the ILS Executive Director III in 07 January 2019. She also headed the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC) from 2013 to 2017 and worked in other DOLE offices such as National Wages and Productivity Commission, Bureau of Labor Relations, and Bureau of Women and Young Workers.
