Employees of the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) joined the “Freedom Run,” a 3K/10K fun run that was also a call to “freedom from corruption,” held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, Pasay City last September 27, 2015.
The ILS delegation was headed by Camilo Franco Cabusas of the Finance and Administrative Division, and Patrick Patriwirawan, OIC-Chief of the Labor and Social Relations Research Division.
Now on its fifth year, “Freedom Run” has provided an accessible platform to gather like-minded people who are determined to improve governance in the Philippines by ridding it of corrupt practices. The run has ingeniously combined the Filipinos’ love for running as a sports, with their openness to engage in positive actions such as the said fun run, signifying a running away from corruption.
The run was organized by Friedrich Naumann Foundation, which started work in the Philippines in 1986, and has since promoted Philippines-Germany relations.
