Consistent with the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) commitment to excellence, the ILS has sent two of its senior level employees to the Supervisory Development Course Track of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) held last 9-12 August 2016 at the CSC-NCR Training Room, in Kaliraya Street, Quezon City.

Completing the said four-day supervisory training were Ms. Paulina Kim C. Pacete, OIC-Division Chief of the Employment Research Division (ERD), and Mr. Nollie Jay A. Rafer, OIC-Supervising Labor and Employment Officer of Advocacy and Publications Division (APD).

This course is purposely designed and developed for first-line supervisors and serves as an enabling tool towards the employee’s understanding of themselves and their career, to handling responsibilities, becoming better leaders, and learning essential communication processes.

The training consisted of lectures on the course topics, supplemented by individual and group exercises before and after the lectures to stimulate discussion among the class and revealed core messages about the lecture topics, and reinforce learnings.

Resource persons for the training were senior officials from the CSC who were also accredited trainers of the agency: Ms. Lilian Esperer (Day 1), Ms. Marilyn Lim (Day 2), and Ms. Claudia Tan (Days 3 to 4), respectively.
