Management Review from August 22 to 23, at the ILS Office, Intramuros, Manila.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Undersecretary for Labor Relations, Policy, and International Affairs Cluster Atty. Benedicto Ernesto R. Bitonio Jr. graced the event to give guidance on the directions and strategies of the Institute for the rest of the year.

In attendance were ILS management headed by OIC-Executive Director III Jeanette T. Damo, Deputy Executive Director III Atty. Mary Grace L. Riguer-Teodosio together with division chiefs, unit heads, and select employees assigned to key components of the performance assessment.

The Institute also discussed the matters of the management review composed of results of the internal and external audit; customer feedback; identification and assessment of risk to the organization; and revisiting issues decided during the previous management review. Each division presented its team’s reformulated or catch-up plans and activities highlighting developments such as project timelines, fund allocations, and other support needed for the second semester of fiscal year 2023. Matters involving the finalization of the FY 2024 research priority areas were included in the agenda to set the direction of the Institute’s research agenda for next year.

Apart from the main activity, the Advocacy and Publications Division and the human resources unit of the Finance and Administrative Division conducted an orientation on Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) to capacitate employees on the use of the new and improved digital and monitoring software application storing employee information and various human resource functions.
