Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba attended a meeting set by the Bureau of Labor Relations (BLR) involving DOLE Senior officials with employers and labor sector held at the DOLE Labor Governance Learning Center, DOLE Building in Intramuros, Manila last March 9.
The discussion was chaired by DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III who solicited inputs to the Department’s proposed COVID19 Adjustment Measure Program (CAMP), which is an integrated and comprehensive package of assistance for employers and labor sector during the COVID19 outbreak.
The CAMP, as discussed, is intended to cover at-risk enterprises and affected workers in the formal sector, either totally displaced, suspended/temporarily displaced, or retained but do not receive regular wage due to COVID19.
The proposed funding was set at P1.3 billion to be sourced from the President’s Contingency Fund to cover a total target of 20,000 affected beneficiaries/affected workers.
