Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba attended the 1st National Government Agencies conference on federalism organized by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Inter-Agency Task Force on Federalism and Constitutional Reform held at The Heritage Hotel, Pasay City on 18-19 March 2019.
Presented and discussed during the conference were the basic principles of federalism and the need to shift from a unitary to a federal form of government, and the significant role of NGAs in the conduct of advocacy campaign for federalism; and (2) to develop a unified government campaign message that will be conveyed and cascaded across all regions of the country.
Some of the participants during the conference included representatives from various NGAs: Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of National Defense (DND) Department of Agriculture (DA), Presidential Commission on Good Governance (PCGG), Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Administration (PAGASA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), National Commission for Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Public Attorney’s Office (PAO).
