Manila – Directors and members of the Technical Divisions from the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) recently met with senior managers from ID Insight, a research organization which helps leaders combat poverty worldwide by designing, deploying and promoting evidence-generating tools. The exploratory meeting was held last 14 June at the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) Conference Room, BF Condominium in Intramuros, Manila.

Present during the meeting were ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba, Acting Deputy Executive Director Patrick P. Patriwirawan, Jr., Workers Welfare Research Division (WWRD) Chief Maria Isabel D. Artajo, Labor and Social Relations Research Division (LSRRD) Acting Chief Miraluna S. Tacadao, Employment Research Division (ERD) Senior Labor and Employment Officer John Emmanuel B. Villanueva, and ERD LEO III Marc Raphael A. Penaredondo. ID Insight was represented by its Senior Manager Ms. Elizabeth Bennett and Manger Ms. Aya Silva.

ILS Acting Deputy Executive Director Patrick P. Patriwirawan, Jr. discussed the Institute’s mandate, profile, and current research projects and partnerships.

Representatives from ID Insight also introduced possible engagements that can be utilized by ILS and DOLE especially in the area of Impact Evaluation (IE). These include: (1) Decision Focus Evaluation, (2) Learning Partnerships, and (3) Advisory Services.

ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba welcomed the possible partnership with ID Insight on impact evaluation (IE) and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) which are important to DOLE’s project implementation.
