The Institute for Labor Studies(ILS) and National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) jointly organized the workshop titled Process Evaluation of Productivity Tool Box and Survey Operations Using SurveyCTO Server as Platform on 19-20 March 2018 at the NWPC Conference Room, DY International Building, Gen. Malvar cor Marcelino, Malate Manila and at iLearn Conference Room, Institute for Labor Sties, 5th Floor DOLE Bldg. Intramuros, Manila, respectively.
Maria Isabel Artajo, Acting Chief of Workers Welfare Research Division (WWRD) of ILS, shared her expertise and experience in research using SurveyCTO in developing the survey instrument. She made use of NWPC’s questionnaire in developing Productivity Toolbox Survey form as an exercise in understanding the survey platform tool better.
SurveyCTO is an Open Data Kit platform. It is an on-line- offline Survey Tool for data collection using Android cellphone devise. This SurveyCTO server can be uploaded for free.
On the second day, Ms. Artajo discussed the assessment of program implementation and analysis, delving deeply on how the program is evaluated, the components of program evaluation and the theory of change.
“In building the theory of change, empathy is important, that is putting ourselves on the shoes of the other or experiencing what they experienced, especially the marginalized sector. This is vital in social research design.” she emphasized.
