Manila, Philippines – Former Bureau of Workers with Special Conditions Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba is named as the new Acting Executive Director of the Institute for Labor Studies.
With her assumption as the Acting Executive Director, Atty. Mary Grace L. Riguer will resume her post as the Deputy Executive Director III.
Director Satumba has two Masters Degrees: a Master’s in Public Management from the Ateneo School of Government, and a Masters in National Security Administration from the National Defense College of the Philippines. She completed her undergraduate studies at the De La Salle University with a Degree in Political Science.
With 23 years of experience in the public service, Director Satumba, before being at the helm of the BWSC, also worked in other DOLE offices namely the Bureau of Labor Relations, Bureau of Women and Young Workers, and as Director II of the National Wages and Productivity Commission. She was once part of the Institute for Labor Studies, serving as Division Chief of the Workers Welfare Research Division.
