Overall employment situation: The July 2014 Labor Force Survey (LFS), which is the third survey round to be made this year, has yielded a more positive employment outlook when compared to the July 2013 LFS round, year-on-year. The July 2014 LFS results indicate a continuing rebound for the Philippine labor market which began in April 2014, after slowing down in January early this year, as a result of the spillover effects of the series of disasters that struck the Philippines in late 2013.
