Manila – In line with the commitment of the Institute for Labor and Studies (ILS) to discover and develop new talents for the office, the ILS recently welcomed new employees this August through an online oathtaking ceremony before Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba.

One of the new employees, Almira Joy Coronel, Administrative Officer I of the Supply Unit for the ILS Finance and Administrative Division (FAD)was a participant of the ILS Internship Program (INTERNi) in 2016. The ILS internship program INTERNi is open for students who want to pursue a career in public policy research and development work, and provides students with a platform to learn and participate in the various processes of the ILS research projects, forums and advocacies, along with administrative and IT support services.

Joining Ms. Coronel at the FAD as its new Accountant 1 is Paul TJ Collantes, a former Accountant Staff at the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.

On the other hand, the Institute’s Labor and Social Relations Research Division gains a new researcher in BA in Political Science graduate Marion Denise Bitonio. Prior to transferring to the ILS, Ms. Bitonio was a consultant in the family-owned practice, Bitonio and Bitonio Law and Consultancy Office.
