Gender-based discrimination has always been an issue in the workplace. Despite the Philippines’ global standing as being one of the top ten most gender-sensitive countries in the world for three consecutive years (2006-2008), gender-based discrimination, continue to exist. Much has been tackled and argued on gender discrimination among men and women but there is scarce literature on discrimination as experienced by lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transvestites (LGBTs) in the workplace. Despite their multi-faceted contributions in almost all areas, from arts to entertainment, to business, and now to politics, they have been considered marginalized not only in the workplace but in the community as a whole.
