HIV/AIDS threatens fundamental rights at work and undermines efforts to provide women and men decent and productive work under the conditions of freedom, equity, security and dignity. One specific issue is discrimination in the workplace brought by the stigma associated with the disease. Using Decent Work as the framework of analysis the event surfaced policy gaps and weaknesses in responding to HIV-AIDS at the workplace.
