The economic and social value of domestic work and of the need to improve domestic workers’ living and working conditions has been subject of different policy debates nationally and internationally.  A number of countries have put in place or are formulating legal and policy measures towards this end. Related to this, the Forum is in line with the worldwide preparations for the International Labor Conference toward formulating international standards for domestic work.
