WWT 4.08 – Towards a People-Centered ASEAN: Decent Work in the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community

The ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint 2009-2015 was developed to serve as a roadmap toward achieving an integrated, caring and peaceful ASEAN Community. It aims to guarantee the ASEAN workforce the benefits from economic integration through investments in education, training, science and technology, job creation and social protection. This Forum identified collaboration initiatives that may be pursued to meet the commitments under the ASEAN Socio-cultural Community Blueprint while mainstreaming decent work at the regional level. The discussion provides policy initiatives on achieving coherent and practical operational guide toward meeting the commitments under the blueprint.
