Description:

This catalogue compiles the programs of the Department of Labor and Employment which seek to protect and supplement people’s incomes, especially when they are most vulnerable due to economic or environmental shocks, accidents, conflict, and other contingencies. Covering the whole labor force and their dependents, these income supports include cash and noncash assistance in the form of grants for education and training, grants for enterprise startup and development, loans, employment, capacity building and training services, and rehabilitation.

The purpose of this catalogue is to provide users with general information on the income supports available and assist them in determining which programs suit their needs. To facilitate search in the catalogue, the program profiles are assigned individual codes and indexed by managing/implementing agency, type of support and eligibility. The range of support, eligibilities and documentary requirements specified for each program are accurate at the time of publication and may be subject to change. For further details on the programs, users are referred to the agencies responsible for the programs, whose contact details are also provided.
