Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies Employees Association (ILSEA) received its approved Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) for 2019-2022 from Director May Antonette D. Arriola of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office–BSP last March 3 at the ILS office in BF Condominium in Intramuros, Manila.

The approved CNA was accepted officially by the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) management, represented by Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba, and ILS Employees Association (ILSEA), represented by Union President Maria Isabel Artajo.

Present also during the ceremony were employees of the Institute. The approved CNA is the result of a series of meeting and consultations among the employees, and between ILSEA’s duly elected representatives and the ILS management through its Employee-Management Consultative Committee (EMCC).

The new CNA aims to further promote a “safe and harmonious workplace” and a holistic human resource development program and continue to provide opportunities for employee’s lifelong learning. It also includes a healthcare program establishing an annual medical check-up program, mental health and wellness clauses, and carer privileges for hospitalization of immediate members of the employees’ family.

Ms. Artajo said the ILSEA will continuously work to foster the actualization of the programs laid out for all ILS employees as the union opens avenues for communication with the ILS management, in collectively achieving the vision it has set forth for its members.
