QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), the policy research and advocacy arm of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), received a “Very Satisfactory” rating in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Annual Agency Performance Review (AAPR) conducted by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

In a memorandum dated 14 May 2026, DOLE Undersecretary Warren M. Miclat informed the Department and its attached agencies of the FY 2025 AAPR results, which evaluated agencies based on financial and physical performance, as well as the timeliness and quality of report submissions.

Based on DBM’s review and assessment covering the period from January to December 2025, the ILS obtained a rating of 4.70 out of 5.00, equivalent to “Very Satisfactory.”

The Annual Agency Performance Review is conducted pursuant to DBM Circular Letter No. 2025-21 and relevant provisions of Executive Order No. 292, or the Administrative Code of 1987, which institutionalizes budget accountability and performance assessment mechanisms across government agencies.

Meanwhile, as part of ILS commitment to quality management and continuous improvement, ILS has also commenced its first Quality Management System (QMS) Internal Audit from 11 May to 01 June 2026 in preparation for the second surveillance audit scheduled in July 2026.
