Named as one of 2014 “Best Accounting Offices” by the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), Inc., the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) receives its trophy at the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) office in San Miguel, Manila last July 27, 2016.

DBM Assistant Secretary and current AGAP Secretary Ms. Tina Rose Marie L. Canda handed over the trophy to ILS representatives headed by OIC-Deputy Executive Director Patrick P. Patriwirawan, Jr. with ILS Chief Administrative Officer Camilo Franco Cabusas, and Accountant Ives Castronuevo.

The ILS Accounting Section, headed by then Accountant III Harold Carbo, was formally awarded during recognition rites held in 2015 in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

The award is annually given to government agencies, through the recommendation of the Commission on Audit (COA), based on the quality, timeliness and accuracy of financial reports.

Founded in 1953, AGAP is an association that promotes the interests of government accountants and the efficient practice of government accountancy.
