Manila, PH – Assistant Secretary for Policy and Chairperson for the DOLE Inter-Agency Committee for Research and Statistical Matters (IAC-RSM) Alex V. Avila attended the presentation by the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) on its proposed roll-out and launch of the E-regulations website April 10 at the iLearn Conference Room, Manila.

Also present were ILS OIC-Executive Mary Grace L. Riguer, OIC-Deputy Executive Director Brenalyn A. Peji, OIC-Division Chief of the Labor and Social Relations Research Division Patrick Patriwirawan, Jr. and OIC-Division Chief of the Advocacy and Publications Division (APD) Reinerio A. Alba and Senior Labor and Employment Officer Ms. Tecelyn B. Maramag who presented the proposed initiative.

As a tool for conducting RIA, the E-regulations website is targeted to serve as an online public consultation facility that will provide the public with a central place to learn about current and proposed labor and employment legislative measures and to have their comments shape the rulemaking processes of the DOLE through a Search, View and Comment (SVC) functionality.

The E-regulations website is made possible through a grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for a technical assistance project on Employment Facilitation for Inclusive Growth (EFIG), which aims to improve employment outcomes and labor regulations through Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA).

The group is set to meet again to finalize the details of the said launch.
